Immerse yourself in Beypore's craftsmanship, showcasing India's rich handicraft heritage. The Beypore RT Fest and Textile Art Fest 2023, organised by Kerala's Responsible Tourism Mission (RT Mission), shine a spotlight on the resilience of artisans while championing the state's commitment to sustainable and inclusive tourism. Within the framework of the Beypore International Water Festival, this event highlights various arts and crafts traditions, with a focus on time-honored practices like pottery, weaving, murals, Rajasthan block-printing, and much more.
The fest has participation from 17 states including Tamil Nadu, Assam, Karnataka, Gujarat, Telangana, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Puducherry, Odisha, Maharashtra and Jharkhand. In addition, the expo will feature a diverse range of products, including souvenirs, as well as agricultural and food items from various units of the State RT Mission, all offered at reasonable prices. The event will incorporate discussions and workshops specifically addressing the conservation of craft traditions and their effective utilization for tourism promotion, ultimately contributing to the well-being of local communities. The expo is being organised at E.K. Nayanar Mini Stadium at Nallur in Feroke.
