Beaches give rise to a range of emotions. The ecstasy of waves that embrace the shores, the calmness of the deep blue sea, and the sheer joy of sun-kissed sands – beaches touch our hearts in many different ways. There are some beaches that become our favorites due to their sheer beauty; and when drenched in rich history, it adds more value to our love.
One of the most visited tourism hotspots in the district, Beypore Beach has a rustic charm to it. The waves aren’t too high and there is an elegant ease to life on the shore here. One of the major attractions of the beach is the “Pulimuttu”, which is a beautiful walkway made using piled-up rocks.
It extends to about 1 km into the sea. Walking through this walkway is a delightful experience as you get to enjoy the sea and the waves from a very close proximity. Beypore is also one of the oldest ports in Kerala and extensive trade activities used to be carried out through the part in the past.
